(I’ll probably just hang it on the wall & look at it. It’s more fun that way anyway.)
OH MY GOODNESS. This is too real. (At least you can get one good wear out of it before it’s forevermore unusable, right? ;) )
Right! I think I have about a 20-minute window with it, then something I’m eating will fall on it. But that 20 minutes will be spectacular.
Woolite makes dry clean only dryer sheets. 1 sheet plus 20 minutes in your home dryer and bam it’s done.
THIS IS BRILLIANT
I’m a rebel, I wash stuff that Dry Clean only all the time! Just gotta figure out the knack for each one.
You wild thing!
I don’t dry clean any of my clothes. (Most of my clothes ARE dry clean only. Why are “dry clean only” always the prettiest things in the stores?) I wash ’em like I would any other clothing BUT THE WASHING MACHINE MUST BE SET ON COLD WATER! Then, once my various skirts and dresses are washed I line dry them or hang them on a hanger or spread them on the deck or my bed to dry, depending on whether or not the material stretches. You don’t want to hang anything stretchy, it will pull itself out of shape!
My clothes have never suffered harm from this method, but once one of my sisters put one of my jumpers in the dryer and it shrunk. It was still wearable, but instead of being ankle length with lots of room up top it came out calf length and a bit clingy.
Good advice…I think I’d try my luck with the washer before I go to the dry clean store.
